The Morte'lumin War, a sub-conflict of the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), was an internal conflict on the primordial side between Hon'palos and his superior Storralk. The enmity stemmed from Storralk's jealousy of his protege's battlefield accomplishments. When the time came for a well-deserved promotion, Storralk transformed Hon'palos into a monstrous worm in an effort to diminish him. Incensed by this petty act, Hon'palos prepared for war.
The conflict eventually escalated from the Step of Foudation to the world of Bal-Kriav. This manifested in the form of primordial sand worms delivered to one of Bal-Kriav's deserts, the Sands of Hell. Thrust through a rift, allies to none, creatures driven by pure entropic purpose, they became a scourge to any who dared traverse this land.
Another internal conflict of this war was between Krephus, an immense primordial purple worm, and her creator. Upon discovering that her offspring were being employed as living war machines, Krephus abandoned the forces of Hon'palos, relocating to the world of Bal-Kriav where she subsequently dispersed purple worms across the territories.
