On 9 Lunar 1830, the Flux Pact launched an assault on Erchinor. This sole city of the Khazarkar vassal state Gilraen displayed a pitiful defense lacking in heroism. The Khazarkar Empire dispatched 20,000 troops to aid in the city's defense, but they proved little match for the overwhelming firepower brought against it. During the siege, the sky was frequently blackened by giant-sized boulders. The city fell in five days and then suffered the effects of Chaos, becoming a ruined realm of madness. The destruction of the city and the massive slaughter of the elven populace marked the demise of Gilraen.
