Stranded in the Adellum sector of the Lands of Purity, these engineers—citizens of the polity of Engineen—established a settlement atop a high plateau overlooking the Galathien Sea, naming it As'lumix in reference to a fabled wrench associated with the artificer Neld-Rac and the mechanisms of the Gears Infinite.
The city is geographically isolated by towering mountains and primeval forests, its elevated position (approximately 3,100 feet) fostering a culture of self-reliant innovation. The Gimrune people prioritize engineering and invention over political maneuvering, preserving a degree of autonomy until reconnecting with Angvild in 1752.
