In 1046, an orc army under an ancient warlord ventured northward into Sorrow Pass. This leader, their future emperor, was a Lith-Crillion named Blac'drugulois. Still early in the Arduous March (1041 - 1096), the settlement of Gúluzgash was established as a haven for civilians while the army forged a path northward.
Built into a crevice within Typhalumus, Surtur's remnant from a bygone era, Gúluzgash evolved from a simple stockade into an imposing citadel, emerging as the southern entryway to the Orchish Empire. Necessitating weapons, sustenance, and supplies for its swiftly expanding, yet fledgling empire, Gúluzgash became a vital commercial waystation along the Sarmarg Road.
In the year 1832, the Grashahk Front relinquished control of the city to the Council of Bile. Gúluzgash, which translates from High Orc to "Blood Honor," is a moniker the new rulers proudly embrace.
