Natyaril was founded during the God Era by Halfling and fey units serving under Avandra. After their victory over Demogorgon, this Covenant fortress was abandoned to the wilderness. In the Horgon Era, when the area had become overgrown and inhabited by beasts and monsters, it was cleared by sprites. Several of them, steeped in history, had relatives who had served and perished there while fighting the invaders of the Demon Spawn War, which spanned from 89 GE to 269 GE.
When the Ithendelt arrived in the region, Natyaril became their allies. They shared a common enemy in the Jara, requiring allies against what could at times become an overwhelming force. After the Ithendelt Schism (905 - 912), having endured the Jara's wrath, Natyaril joined the Ithengee Monarchy as an equal partner. On multiple occasions, they have unsuccessfully attempted to install a Sprite on the throne.
