In the Year 544, a dozen Rúmil families departed their homeland. Weary of the rule by a select few families that had cycled through power for centuries, the ex-patriots relinquished their citizenship. They journeyed eastward from the High Wood Country into the Tribe Steppes. Enduring nightly assaults from Jara forces, they pressed on until reaching the dilapidated Marakellûth. There, in partnership with House Ithendelt, they rebuilt the ruin and established a new kingdom.

Two and a half centuries later, in 799, Ithendelt forsook Marakellûth to the Jara. The new seat of power became the seaside metropolis of Séregon.

In 905, Queen Nessa Ithendelt passed away, leaving the kingdom without an heir. This unfortunate development led to the onset of the Ithendelt Schism (905 - 912). This seven-year civil conflict concluded on 1 Brightstar 912 with the defeat of House Glorfindel. Exiled, they journeyed westward across the Core Sea, becoming the Gilraen Oligarchy. The victors, House Ithengee, subsequently established the Ithengee Monarchy.
