In 600 HE, the prospective location of Nénharma was surveyed by the Settler Division of Gwildath, the GSD. Situated near a coast, a rainy environment, a dense forest, and a marshy delta dissected by streams and rivers, it was an almost ideal setting for settlement. The GSD categorized the closest neighbor, the Graagvrii, as primitive and savage, potentially useful as laborers if the settlers grow desperate.

In 615 HE, Gwildath colonists departed Kriav through a feywild fuse. Now on the world of Bal-Kriav, they settled the site planned by the GSD, establishing Nénharma on 21 Hollow 615 HE.

Over the subsequent millennia, Nénharma developed into a formidable city-state and essential seaport.

In 933, Cirongwathir was established by Nénharma dissidents.

The Phael-Tetramord War raged for fifteen tumultuous years, and in the sixth year of this protracted conflict, the city of Nénharma succumbed to the forces of the Tetramord Pact.

For three years, the city served as a garrison for a Graagvrii legion. It was later recaptured, then fell again in Year 25 to a demonic army serving Demogorgon. In the city's final days, Nénharma's mages utilized teleportation portals, evacuating half the population, while others took to ships. Most of these refugees settled in the High Wood Country, a region of the Brucrumus mainland, where they went on to establish the Rúmil Empire. Another group suffered the misfortune of being blown far off course, eventually becoming nomadic until the founding of Elalmoth on 12 Kindle 65.

Today, this demonic port city is home to wisplings, demons, and other horrors. The wisplings are a product of demons and halflings, the latter finding themselves with no way off the island, captured in the war. Some were mated with, others sent into slavery. The halflings perished, but the wisplings proliferated in great numbers. They pose a constant challenge for Demogorgon, who refuses to eliminate them, as they have proven far more industrious than his demonic workforce.

The Cirathrin river flows through a portion of the city. In Year 75, malevolent forces tainted the Turgon Aeries. This resulted in the ground splitting, plunging half the city into the river's inky depths. The exposed upper sections of these submerged structures now serve as the foundations for a sizeable shipping terminal.
