The capital city of the minor fire giant kingdom is Silnar, which is ruled by Jarl Saerthjar (see Hlimi Kingdoms).

The towering Silnar settlement extends from a 400-foot canyon wall overlooking the Tulerran river all the way to the imposing Hottild volcano. During the Horgon Era, its bustling population of approximately 40,000 occupied the structures lining this eight-mile stretch from the canyon wall to the volcanic peak. Silnar boasts a harbor situated along the Tulerran, with the harbor district accessible from the canyon above via an interconnected system of tunnels, ramps, and lifts.

Silnar's significance in the Hofthorm empire came to a head during the second great war with their southern rivals, the Titan Empire Glangveif. Hofthorm's initial foray into naval warfare began here, with a fledgling navy of rafts constructed to ferry troops and supplies southward towards Ugradrath. In the conflicts that followed this war, these vessels evolved, incorporating vessels of a more offensive nature, such as galleys and cogs. Glangveif never developed a navy, so for the majority of their conflicts, Hofthorm maintained supremacy over the Core Sea.
