Tixargium was established during the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE) by the demonic legions of Baphomet. In the facilities scattered across the jungle expanse and polluted streams, demon researchers utilized a stolen relic of creation, a device with the powers of a Tier 3 Creationist. They employed this to fashion a race subservient to them; this was not a novel concept, as Creationists, Primordial Lords, and Covenant leaders had been engaging in such practices since the Dawn Era. At Tixargium, on 16 War March 115 GE, Baphomet's demon scientists created the Minotaur race.
In the Lith-Crillion Era, the location was inhabited by beasts and creatures, with Gorantin swinging over the overgrown streets and vine-draped structures. They monitored the area for lingering demonic influences from the time when Tixargium served as a base for the demon lord Baphomet and his subordinates.
In the Horgon Era, Aarakocra explorers out of Dechôz ventured here in search of ancient relics. It is said that some were Giracian proselytizers who felt compelled to purge the ruin of its dark history. The Janni soon followed, becoming shipwrecked on this alien world. They were eventually rescued from their pitiful existence in sea caves, which often served as the abode of harpies or a sahuagin camp, by Tixargium patrols. Towards the end of the Horgon Era, certain Gorantin emerging from the wilderness began to identify as citizens of Tixargium.
