The Conclave War forced the Burterinii to abandon their ancestral dwellings in southern Gulimbor. This marked the commencement of the Great Exodus, which spanned the years 998 to 1017.
The Conclave War, the first of the Domination Wars, alongside the Gulimbor Cataclysm (996 - 1203) it catalyzed, eventually compelled the Burterinii to migrate across Pharmûn Bay to Ma'Ohari's northeastern coasts, where they established Thrakopolis. The city's name paid tribute to Admiral Jeswyn Thrak, who safeguarded not only his own people but also all the other so-called Rogue States then fleeing Gulimbor's beleaguered lands.
Thrakopolis is the capital of Burterinii. It is the largest city of Ma'Ohari and a major hub for trade emerging from Shounejo and Engineen. It is a picturesque tropical city, with flowers adorning its battlements and towers. The lush greenery and vibrant colors of the city are complemented by the multicolored glass adorning its buildings and domes. Thrakopolis was constructed along a stretch of Ma'Ohari's coastline that is perpetually swept by breezes, rendering it significantly cooler than the stifling jungle interior beyond its western walls.
The city is situated along the Kanungul Strait. Across this waterway lies Kanungul Island, which hosts numerous villas owned by the affluent and some foreign individuals. Many residents of Thrakopolis venture to this island on weekends to relish the fresh air and unspoiled beaches. The western portion of the city is encompassed by the Hlothraza Jungle. The city walls are integrated with several imposing natural spires of the jungle, which serve as barracks for the military and living quarters for the aristocracy.
