Penal Battalion 321 is a prisoner military unit of the Fograth. Consisting of prisoners under the command of fellow inmates, it attained a reputation for excellence when a small cadre transformed its unruly tactics into a more disciplined approach. These leaders distinguished themselves from their comrades by donning cloaks adorned with a crimson eye, earning them the moniker "Crimson Eyes".
The Crimson Eyes' Penal Battalion 321, under command, successfully earned their first banner during the Hungrur Campaign. This was a small conflict aimed at halting the Bloodbeard raids along the Imgald Road. Subsequently, after garnering acclaim in the battles surrounding Fort Hellstorm, the unit's leaders were granted their freedom. They then went on to establish an adventuring group, eventually becoming the company leaders of Crimson Eye Incorporated.
This unit has persisted as an elite force since the Crimson Eyes' departure. They receive the same equipment as regular troops and undergo training before deployment. Due to their distinguished reputation, there have been instances of military personnel deliberately violating military laws, hoping to be assigned to the 321st unit.
Penal Battalion 321 is a unit comprising incarcerated individuals led by their own. We suffered the most casualties, yet recorded one of the highest kill counts during the battles of Hungrur and surrounding regions. We engaged the Bloodbeards, subsequently adorning ourselves with their sullied facial hair as emblems.
