Ancalimë was established by former Covenant soldiers who had fought in the Demon Spawn War. When that conflict concluded, they were left stranded on Bal-Kriav. Their civilization arose in the latter years of the God Era, near the core of the Arboreal continent at the fortified city of Varnavei.
The Ancalimë kingdom boasts an abundance of tree dwellings, numbering in the tens of thousands, scattered across an expansive, unending expanse of verdant woodlands. The trees within these ancient forests are colossal in stature, with some reaching base diameters of no less than one hundred feet. Furthermore, many of the forests under the dominion of this empire are so dense and intricate that sunlight never penetrates to the forest floor.
In times of peril, Ancalimë can summon amber dragons, unicorns, and other mystical creatures. The expansive and seemingly boundless forest domain of Ancalimë is surveilled by elven rangers astride unicorns, dire lions, dire wolves, giant eagles, and dragons. The most distinguished unit is the Jade Wardens, who possess a martial heritage dating back to when they fought alongside angelic commanders during the Creation War.
In the Year 52, Ancalimë colonists journeyed to Hadraniel via the Oaken Gate. These settlers established the settlement Hanthaerion and subsequently the Galadriël Kingdom.
