The Tiya'lith Empire is a dominion largely governed by feudal lords who answer to an autocratic overlord. Regrettably, the empire's populace is riddled with chaos and malevolence, fostering widespread lawlessness and frequent usurpation of leadership.
The realm of Tiya'lith is characterized by a pernicious, corruptible, and tumultuous society where allegiance is merely a matter of expediency. Uprisings, civil unrest, and devastation are defining features of the empire. Its armed forces perpetually engage in conflict with various adversaries.
Ermikel the Balance, "Way of the Tiya'lith"
The overarching objective of the empire is to dominate Shounejo. They hold in contempt these law-abiding individuals situated to their south and the manner in which they observe Geejudan.
In this empire, two formidable churches exert a profoundly detrimental influence over the people and their actions. The Qamral Church of Thasmudyan rose to prominence across MidrĂȘth after the crippling defeat of the Black Tide of Thasmudyan during the Black Tide War (1465 - 1486). For a time, Thasmudyan's prominence led to widespread necromantic practices that continue to this day. However, when the Black Tide forces were rebuilt, the Qamral Church was relegated to second place behind the one at MularĂ»n. The other powerful religious body influencing Tiya'lith society is the cult of Demogorgon demon worshippers, whose shrines and churches are dispersed throughout the land, often as much in conflict with each other as with the state's enemies.
Tiya'lith is self-reliant, and its leaders show little interest in trade, perceiving national development as achieved through territorial expansion. However, this does not imply a lack of merchants, as trade does thrive with like-minded groups in the Underdark.
