Race Storm and cloud giants

Heinjar Sorgny, which in the Giant tongue denotes "storm clouds," are families of storm and cloud giants that were perhaps the earliest of their kind. Deliberately crafted by the primordials, or potentially by an even more ancient force, they were engineered for high altitudes, rarefied atmospheres, and endowed with the powers of a tempest's wrath and the ability to vanish into the winds.

In the Creation War ( 1486 DE - 8777 DE ) , one of Heinjar Sorgny's storm giants rose to prominence. Known as Talos, he became the commander of these families and their armies, all warriors of the countless throngs serving the primordials in their conflict against the defenders of Creation.

In the renowned excavation of Angvild, the region now recognized as the Talos Cleft, the Heinjar Sorgny were entrusted with the administrative duties, oversight, and engineering. The cloud giants and additional laborers carried out the strenuous physical work and other menial tasks. Those who dared defy this hierarchy vanished or perished under puzzling circumstances - struck down by a rogue tempest, swept away in a perplexing eddy, or suffering the wrath of the Heinjar Sorgny.

The Heinjar Sorgny are the progenitors of many of the cloud and storm giants dispersed across the Bal-Kriav world. The regimented structure of the storm giants and cloud giants persists in certain regions of the realm. During the reign of Aslauthroa ( 9 HE - 1891 HE ) , storm giants occupied the apex, followed by cloud giants with far greater mobility than in previous eras. Presently, the city-state of Griddrir, once the capital of Aslauthroa, maintains a society where storm giants hold the most esteemed positions.
