The Minotaur Trade Federation, or MTF, was founded under the leadership of Emperor Raxcvillibus. This trade syndicate was modeled after the renowned Paradomea Consortium. Prior to the establishment of this administrative body, the trade companies of Ba'lith were often engaged in fierce conflicts, seemingly to the perpetual detriment of the empire's treasury. These wars were waged in an effort to maintain control over the populace. The MTF was formed to transition the empire from a wartime footing to one focused on building up their financial resources during peacetime.
The MTF's charter encompasses a range of enforcement measures, including fines, sanctions, and even assassinations when necessary. The overarching objective is to foster healthy competition among its members and deter monopolistic practices that could disadvantage foreign trade.
Although Rax is credited with this organization, the concept was originally conceived by his advisor, Galathrel.
Classified as a public trade organization, those in foreign capitals would designate the MTF as a quasi-governmental entity. One that operates in the interests of free trade and public companies, provided they serve the interests of the state.
