In the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), a primordial lord named Hettar established an organization responsible for logistics and supply chain management. This entity, known as the Ezthall Yakiz, was led by masters of mental computation and memory, some of whom were said to be constructs, remnants of the Lost Ages. With thousands of minions at their disposal, the Ezthall Yakiz created numerous sub-divisions to handle the workload, including one tasked with producing healing agents and medical supplies for the war effort. One of the more sinister aspects of this medical core, later to be known as Mutation, was the manufacture of drugged healing agents, which created a dependence on the source; even Hettar himself fell victim to the addictive nature of their most potent mega-healing mixtures.
The Batoth, a Primordial term for Mutation, specialize in the art of transmutation, endeavoring to uncover the arcane mysteries of Creation, and investigating the intricacies of chaos infusion. The latter pursuit emerged from their leader's notion of transforming foes into servants of Chaos, in contrast to the definitive elimination advocated by the Primordial Mandate.
In 1296, the Mutation cell of Entropy, operating out of MogdĂșlg, opened a rift to an entropic world. This inter-system bridge, the Sink of Chaos, served as a magnet for a passing Chaos Maelstrom. For weeks, this storm of chaos hung lazily above what would henceforth be known as Hleittil, a land and its peoples forever chaos infused.
