In the Cinazan Front, Hurd-Tot was a valued crew member of the Pillar of Horns. He served as the ship's Chief Mechanical Engineer, responsible for maintaining the vessel's operational capabilities and ensuring the ship's two Arconulous Bands were combat-ready.
Hurd-Tot is also of the Gimrune, one of the sub-races of the gnomes. Thirty-eight years ago, the gimrune of Azrik were citizens of Ba'lith's northern rival, the Torgilm Confederacy. After the Brothers Enmity War, the victors offered the conquered a choice: assimilate or face dire consequences. Rebel elements only exacerbated their plight, with entire families eradicated merely for their association. Most opted to remain, whereupon they became fully-fledged citizens of their conquerors' empire. This policy, an atypical approach for the minotaurs, did not sit well with the populace. Customarily, the vanquished were considered chattel of their captors. The emperor articulated the rationale simply and persuasively: "They are a valuable people, possessing skills that will bolster our strength for the next war, one that will plant our flag in elderaunt lands and see the rubble of their capital shipped home to pave our streets." This statement was only a fraction of a oration that captivated all in attendance, regardless of their stance on the policy.
Hurd-Tot's parents had endured that turbulent period and embraced assimilation. Though he was merely a toddler at the time, barely three years old, he still vividly recalls the melancholy of his mother, who was a skilled cartographer. She returned home distraught, nearing the brink of wailing through tears. It was the day they were reprinting the maps; where the flag of the Torgilm Confederacy had once proudly flown, now stood the emblem of its conqueror. While Hurt-Tot does not hold a particular fondness for this emperor, he respects him; yet, maintaining the operation of this vessel is the driving purpose of his life's work. This conviction is a deeply-rooted belief, one which he fails to recognize as not entirely his own.

Hud-Tot has been psychically altered by his emperor, Raxcvillibus.
Too unfortunate he desired to depart after being so pivotal in constructing this vessel. He contemplates the mental persuasion he had to apply upon the individual, altering his perspective to regard the Pillar of Horns as his own to nurture and maintain in good condition. A psychic operation, a reconfiguration of the brain that, if taken to the extreme, transforms one into a drone, can subtly modify one's thought process if handled skillfully. Rax is an expert at this craft.
