Himril Girderhead was a distinguished member of the Golden Elite. Born on the Giff home world Marragh, he spent his early years as a crew member in the Giff League. Himril's vast experience and wealth were amassed during extensive exploration and colonization missions, as well as his involvement in trade, transportation, and the acquisition of rare commodities. Through his ambition and accomplishments, he steadily rose through the ranks of the League. During this time, he also came to recognize the crucial need to restore balance on Bal-Kriav, having witnessed firsthand the prevalence of either overwhelming good or evil on various worlds.

When the Golden Elite assumed command of the ship Atlas Glory, Himril was appointed as the vessel's captain. During the Athenian Crusade (1539 - 1551), he was elevated to the rank of Admiral, overseeing the naval forces of the Holy Quinary.

Himril's foremost objective while serving alongside the Golden Elite was to restore equilibrium to the lower Brucrumus region. He endeavored to eradicate the chaotic liches that had subjugated the Lands of Purity in the aftermath of their triumph in the Black Tide War.

The goodly Lands of Purity and the Farinteen Dynasty, along with numerous Knightly Orders, have been ruthlessly subjugated. The Black Tide has thrown the realm of Bal-Kriav into disarray.

The Sinews of Atlas have been engaged in the struggle for equilibrium for years. They recognize that Order must be reinstated in this realm, but numerous members have chosen to combat from the periphery by recruiting adherents and training clerics to assist them in engagements.

Himril abandoned his proselytizing ways. He believed that while fulfilling his obligations as a Lyan, the annihilation of his adversaries likewise benefits his affiliation by reinstating the equilibrium of Good and Evil and introducing order into the realm of Chaos.

In a renowned address presented to the Holy Quinary, Himril remarked on the prevailing circumstances as follows:

Order from Chaos must be our paramount objective Not merely the realignment of borders and the persistent trepidation and skepticism towards our neighboring realms This is the pernicious nature of these malevolent times; let it not be through your inaction that we descend into another era of darkness

The fallout of this speech set certain political mechanisms into motion. Conscripts were ordered, armored, and equipped to engage in battles at the command of "Old Girder Head." Nevertheless, Himril initially declined the position of Admiral of the navy. His divine calling compelled him to fight on the front line alongside the soldiers.

Himril believed that in the dark era succeeding the Black Tide War (1465 - 1486), the proper role for a priest was upon the battlefield, assisting their fellow warriors in the battle against the malevolent forces afflicting the realm.

While in the service of the Golden Elite, his vigor was revived with the Ankh of Phalgas, and he personally lit the fuse, sending the Elder Orb of Embers into the heart of Merioss. Additionally, he upheld his pledge to return the mighty cannon Ole' Faithful to the citizens of Milithian.

Upon completion of these tasks, followers will be dispatched to the four corners of Bal-Kriav to commence the vital work of organizing and restoring order to the prevailing chaos in the world.
