The Holy Quinary was an alliance of peoples across the Lands of Purity. Opposed by the Black Tide of Thasmudyan, an occupying power with armies of undead, they sought the restoration of law and order. The Holy Quinary consisted of five core members. The largest was the Shields of Iraktharbhun, which had two forces: an expeditionary force of the Galadriel Kingdom and another formed under the remnants of the Farinteen Dynasty. The army of the Forstneblin city-state of Voruner joined after losing their city in 1486.

Bokgruma deployed her elite legions northward to join the expanding alliance. Largely untouched by the conflict, they arrived to assist the embattled populaces. Milithian, a vital port for the resistance against the Black Tide, contributed whatever forces it could muster. Following the liberation of Galadriel's people, the Sorimo was dispatched to reinforce the alliance.

The Holy Quinary was also buttressed by small platoons from As'lumix. These were the Gimrune, a people far removed from their homeland, yet similar to those of Engineen in their passion for invention, craftsmanship, engineering, and construction. Like the Black Tide, it maintained mercenary units, such as the Bear Army of Zagul-Tîn and the Shade Army of Grimyat.

The overall leadership of the alliance was undertaken by the Order of Solars. During the Athenian Crusade (1539 - 1551), they expelled the Black Tide from the Lands of Purity. Following the war, half of the alliance's members chose to join a federalist state, the Country of Malacost.
