Bokgruma, a dwarven settlement situated near the shores of the Pearl Sea, is one of the constituent states that form the nation of Malacost.

In 135, the ten clans of the Taraglandu departed the Kingdom of Phlehorn. The king exiled them on a mission to strengthen their mining claims in the Tholmgerd Mountains. Unable to hold these claims, they were driven into the depths. In the dark reaches of Olvagny, they entered the lands of the Gaereausians, which were then inhabited only by earth archons. They were greatly aided on their journey and even informed of a suitable area to settle. All of this came with their oath to join the Gnemdos Trade Network.

A decade after departing Phlehorn, the Taraglandu people established a permanent settlement. Following the guidance and cartography provided by Gaereausian navigators, they constructed the settlement of Narukgulan atop the cliffs overlooking the Sharazâr. Four decades thereafter, heeding the recommendations of the Gnemdos Trade Network, they dispatched colonists eastward, founding Bokgruma along a river destined to evolve into a vital commercial thoroughfare.

In the year 728, Narukgulan was apprehended by Apocolypse and his Graagvrii military forces. Consequently, the majority of the Narukgulans retreated eastward, joining Bokgruma.

In the Second Epoch, Bokgruma blossomed into a prosperous commercial hub. The Tániel river flows along the foothills leading up to the hammer-shaped walls of the dwarven citadel. The city's towers are adorned with dwarven-styled helmet-like crowns and bristle with cannons and dragon ballista. Half of Bokgruma is nestled within the peaks behind the city. Some of the dwarven miners assert that through these internal passageways, they can access their most prized mines, seldom venturing into the daylight.

In the Athenian Crusade (1539 - 1551), Bokgruma dispatched military forces to join the Holy Quinary. On 17 Brightstar 1551, Bokgruma became a constituent state of the newly established Country of Malacost.
