In 135, the Taraglandu clan, citizens of Phlehorn, were dispatched to fortify a territorial claim in Skycius. They journeyed to a mining town nestled within the Tholmgerd mountains. Incubus, then a powerful Theegan city-state, perceived this presence as a threat to their own mining operations and forcibly expelled the dwarves, driving them further southward. Displaced and nomadic for a decade, the dwarves eventually settled in the Lands of Purity, where they established the prosperous mining settlement of Narukgulan along the Sharazâr cliffs, capitalizing on the abundant silver deposits that quickly made the town a thriving economic hub.

Over the subsequent seven centuries, Narukgulan settlements expanded across Adellum's southeastern regions, stretching from the Iraktharbhun valley to the shores of Lake Hruki and the towering ramparts of Gudgrid. They rebuilt the city of Iglutt and established the riverine port of Bokgruma near the confluence of the Tániel and the Pearl Sea.

In 728, the prosperous city of Narukgulan was pillaged by the malevolent dragon Apocolypse and his fearsome Graagvrii army. The devastated Narukgulans hastily retreated eastward, seeking refuge among their kinsmen in the city of Bokgruma.

Narukgulan currently serves as the lair of a ghost dragon called Casiron. During the Black Tide War (1465 - 1486), this iron dragon was slain by Raxcvillibus. However, the dragon deity Bahamut granted Casiron's dying wish to continue the fight against the malevolent hordes, transforming him into a ghostly form. Empowered by Bahamut as a specter, Casiron was able to repel Raxcvillibus and his minions.

Legend suggests that Casiron can only achieve true respite once he has reclaimed his previous treasure hoard. An amount of treasure purported to surpass 2,000,000 gold pieces.
