Map Inirthak

Long before the establishment of the Orchish Empire, this forest stretched into Hells Womb, with the forest of Gwaeldior comprising its southern tip. It was then home to the wood elves of Lorthrindal, Centaur, Pixie, Wood Woad, and a host of other fey creatures.

In the Arduous March (1041 - 1096), orcs pushed into southeastern Grashakh. East of Gúluzgash, they cleared the forest entirely up to the Foronir River. This, combined with a northward expansion to claim land and establish outposts, led to the War of Nárfaltuin (1048 - 1130). Though largely victorious, the Orchish Empire was left to construct a series of fortifications stretching from Gúluzgash to Othragmac, then northward along the Glumgard River to the nascent settlement of Kotharlarg.

Like most forests of Grashakh, the domain of Nárfaltuin is a contested territory. The fey, frequently aided by druids, remain vigilant in their efforts to prevent the forest's further diminishment by the encroachment of civilization. Typically, these fey inhabitants of Nárfaltuin collaborate with interested parties, engaging in prudent forestry practices or seeking supplemental sources of income.
