In 1452, at the tender age of 15, Negral was seized by the Pyramidian Bodysnatchers of the Pyramid of Conflict. These were the Pyrmidian Ghouls, tasked with replenishing their ranks. Upon being taken inside, he joined the restocking of the Pyramid's garrison, transformed into a Pyrmidian Ghoul - a peculiar fusion of the undead and the Maleraunt.

In 1462, the Pyramid of Conflict was recaptured by Pyrmidian Ghouls under the leadership of Raxcvillibus. Loyal to the one who had just reclaimed their home, they joined his assault on Orias Vual. After the city was taken, most of the Pyrmidian Ghouls returned to their Pyramid of Power. Raxcvillibus extended an invitation for Negral to accompany him. Though it may seem peculiar, Raxcvillibus felt a sense of empathy for Negral, believing he had been transformed into a ghoul at too tender an age, forever retaining the mannerisms of a human adolescent. Negral accepted Rax's offer. Over the course of several decades, the two developed a bond akin to that of a father and son. Negral is one of the few individuals able to jest with his adoptive parent, even in a military setting or when Rax assumes the role of Emperor of Ba'lith.

In the Cinazan Front, he served as a crew member aboard the Pillar of Horns. During the voyage to this war zone, the Pillar made a stop in Paradomea City. Given his imperial lineage, he was granted permission to acquire a Doom Solider designated as Unit AT-26, whom he refers to as his personal guardian, Atlas.

On the Pillar, Negral serves as the vessel's Head of Surveillance. His tireless endeavors to maintain the ship's security against imperceptible or magically obscured assailants are bolstered by four "Kreighton" brainuses.

Negral has been characterized as possessing a parched, ebony trunk and sharp, violet fangs.

Negral wishes he could fully experience the food's delectable aroma. As a Pyrmidian Ghoul Maleraunt, he is part undead, or what some might consider a hybrid, possessing an equal measure of life energy and negative energy. Due to this negative energy, certain of his senses are impaired. Upon conversion to undeath, some lose or have diminished one or more of their senses, while in rare instances, one may become heightened. Regrettably, Negral has lost a portion of his sense of smell, so rich, sweet scents are muted for him. He can discern degrees of sweetness, yet his olfactory perception lacks the refined acuity of a living maleraunt.
