This artifact possessed the remarkable ability to expand in size, matching the stature of its target when hurled in combat. As the shield's razor-sharp edge severed one of Bryakus's necks, it became embedded in the primordial's colossal form. However, Bryakus's primeval blood ultimately destroyed the immense shield, shattering it into numerous fragments. The devastation of Ares's Shear scattered pieces of arjale across the battlefield. These fragments of the legendary artifact have since been used to forge a few powerful magic items, including the Discus of Ares, a mortal version of the famed Ares's Shear.
