In the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), the desolate expanse of Regadnîn witnessed numerous battles. During one such conflict, entropic worms breached the Covenant cordon, traveling southward from Taphezel into a jungle previously known only by its grid coordinates. The insidious Primordial minions, whose task was to weaken worlds, had gone undetected for nearly a decade as the worms burrowed. Their tunneling left a trail of entropic slime that caused rock and earth to float upwards, forming buoyant floating isles or entirely earth motes, along with a dense jungle canopy. At ground level, the vegetation above the worms' tunnels underwent a dramatic transformation, with colossal growths reaching skyward unfettered by gravity, and vines attaching to the floating isles to create a web of foliage thousands of feet above the jungle floor.
The majestic Skyhook serves as the abode for an abundance of avian species. Following the Creation War, almost four thousand Aarakocra proclaimed Skyhook as the ancestral homeland of the continent's Aarakocra population.
