Regadnîn is an exceptionally perilous region within the realm. During the Dawn Era, primordials and their chaos archons engaged in combat with Covenant angels, holy archons, mortals, and Creationists over the very existence of worlds. Fourteen battles are named for Regadnîn, as this particular area possessed a weakened Web of Magic, making it more susceptible to penetration. This vulnerability dated back to the creation of Sphere 411. The primordials utilized null mines or other rift-creating devices and abilities, establishing bridges between Chaos and this world. By the 14th Battle of Regadnîn, the repeated attacks had so damaged the Web that simple spells like teleportation and dimensional hops were heightened across Regadnîn, leading to unpredictable and chaotic effects. Even today, the use of teleportation-like magic in this area remains erratic.

Regadnîn is littered with the remnants of fourteen great battles. Strewn across an eerie wasteland, some are immense in scale. During the Creation War, there were monstrosities of unimaginable proportions, necessitating equally imposing countermeasures - massive bulwarks hundreds of feet high, colossal siege equipment, and fortifications so large and thick that one would assume they were built to withstand an army of titans mounted on dinosaurs. Some of the more noteworthy of these bastions surround the wasteland, such as Irrai and Machâr.

Regadnîn remains patrolled by the vestiges of the Creation War, deadly constructs and living spells millennia old. The most perilous are anaxims.

Unlike most abominations, anaxims are not born of carnal desires, but meticulously assembled from mechanical designs inspired by apocalyptic visions These constructs, which were not eradicated as they should have been, have since acquired a semblance of life all their own[1]

The region's resident spells possess remarkably potent effects, capable of eliminating most mortal beings. The land also harbors colossal omnimentals, ragewalkers, and terrors seldom encountered in other realms.

In addition to its desolate nature, Regadnîn is a desert due to its geographic position. It is encircled on three sides by the imposing summits of the Elephant Backbone Mountains. These peaks are so lofty that they obstruct the passage of clouds, moisture, and winds, permitting entry only through the mountain passes. This absence of air currents, combined with the region's coarse, heavy sand, renders sandstorms an uncommon yet captivating phenomenon.

At the heart of the desert lies the expansive Piranoth Cyst. This colossal sinkhole spans an impressive five miles in diameter and plunges a mile deep. It was among the most heavily trafficked invasion routes for ancient, primordial invaders.

The other remarkable feature of Regadnîn is Dališar. This holy site is shaped like a volcano, glowing with an ethereal blue-white flame. Dališar was once a powerful Covenant weapon and forge. When it erupts, it spews molten blue-white lava, electrically charged clouds of smoke, and debris that impacts with thunderous sonic blasts.
