Bâluzrik was an inland citadel of the Abâthigûr empire. The Durkoth had their Sussgurd minions construct it above the sweltering heat and humid conditions of Ghol Markúl's jungle. These factors, combined with disease, made the lowlands of this island a wretched locale. However, it was a necessary location, as the timber from the Hullback Forest proved to be the finest for shipbuilding.

Before the island was fractured during the Sundering of Ghol Markúl, Bâluzrik served as a command and administrative center for the islands being incorporated into the Abâthigûr empire. Throughout the Naudvar War, it became the headquarters for the advance upon the islands surrounding the Naudvar channels and those laying claim to that region. When Ghol Markúl was torn asunder, Bâluzrik found itself situated along the coasts, with half the city submerged under the waves. With the conclusion of the Naudvar War, Abâthigûr abandoned the ruined city and the entirety of the Buccaneer Archipelago.
