Nahkropiik Vaal is the western inlet of Hiznaar Goz. At the bay's entrance stands Grolanters Ember, an immense giant-constructed lighthouse that can be glimpsed from afar across the Sea of Mourning.
The rugged coastline of Nahkropiik Vaal is flanked by sheer, towering cliffs reaching heights of nearly 1000 feet at the city of Irthorn. This urban center sprawls across the cliff's summit and cascades down to the bay, where a bustling port facilitates maritime commerce.
The empire of Oathundor claims Nahkropiik Vaal as its territory. However, they only maintain control over the surface. The depths are governed by bands of Scrag, Merrow, and Lacedon. During the God Era, when cartographers serving Bahamut named this bay, encounters with these creatures led to it being designated Nahkropiik Vaal, which translates from Draconic as "Lurker Bay".
