Urkalzîr is a ruin situated in the northern region of Arcana. During the Lith-Crillion Era, this city functioned as a Lith-Crillion research hub. They constructed a dozen zoos within and around the city, each with laboratories dedicated to studying and experimenting on animals. Exploring Urkalzîr poses considerable risks due to its topi guardians and other perilous beasts that guard and roam the ruins. A dense forest has flourished amidst the ruins, providing cover and hindering the discovery of any relics. Four rivers converge at the city, forming a natural moat. These waterways have shifted course over time, submerging portions of the ruins. The numerous canals traversing the dilapidated city have long since become clogged with debris.
It is no mystery that the Lith-Crillion were ahead of their time. They possessed greater knowledge of this world and distant realms than we do today. Here on Bal-Kriav, they dispatched exploration teams known as the Sâlo Tânê. These groups ventured into the depths of Bal-Kriav's seas in submersibles like the Âni-Matîrûn and Âni-Nâthil. Once established in distant lands, they erected Pyramids of Power with their teleportation magic, facilitating movement between their far-flung outposts.
On Arcana, an island strewn with the ruins of Lith-Crillion, there are structures that once functioned as research centers. The dilapidated city of Felth investigated tidal forces and the mechanics of hydropower. Urkalzîr was a bastion of nature, with domes dedicated to specific environments, as well as numerous zoos and enclosures. Aggda, still heavily guarded by constructs and magic, served as a site for the study of warfare.

Urkalzîr is strewn with vibrant crimson, golden, azure, and amethyst crystals. Numerous structures within the ruins were constructed from crystal, while others were merely adorned with the abundant mineral found across the Izradî Valley. Dotting the river-fed moat that encircles the city are islets bearing the remains of once-magnificent residences and crumbling monolithic statues depicting indigenous fauna as well as creatures from distant realms.
