Zarag-Gûn is a vast and elevated cavern situated south of Sigan-Kûn. During the Onyx Enmity War (915 - 920), this area was inundated by the draining of the Nermanis Sea. This catastrophic event wiped out the Mîmêk city-state Sigatharkin, along with other settlements, as the sea emptied into this cavern and then plunged to lower depths. One account suggests that the Mîmêk miscalculated the demolition, causing the ceiling to collapse all the way to the surface - the sea floor of the Nermanis Sea. The expanding aperture nearly eradicated the combatants fighting below. It took decades for the water to fully drain. Sigan-Kûn was significantly widened by the rushing waters, carving out a canyon known as Nûrmakh. The opening in the cavern ceiling, where the catastrophe began, is called Avardâk.
