Amphitrite

Amphitrite is one of the fifty daughters (the Nereids) born to Nereus and Doris (the daughter of Oceanus). Poseidon and Amphitrite shared a passionate romantic relationship. One of their most renowned offspring is Triton.

Midway through the Creation War, Amphitrite underwent a change of heart, departing the destructive forces of chaos and joining the ranks of the Nawirrûs Covenant. She rose through the organization, becoming a general of operations in the Sea of Mourning. Her captivating Amphitrite Hymn, a song of the deeps, possessed the power to calm sea creatures and break any mental domination over them, even by Primordial Lords like Poseidon. Amphitrite became such a formidable adversary that Poseidon forged the artifact Buldadel, a Cairn Scythe weapon, with the intention of capturing her. He hoped that over time, he could sway her back to the primordial cause, which he secretly opposed. Tragically, the weapon was wielded with malign intent by one of Poseidon's Merfolk champions. The killing blow was meant to capture Amphitrite's soul energy, but the weapon broke, causing her essence to be drawn back into the chaos, where it dissolved into raw entropic energy.
