Buldadel was an artifact forged by Poseidon within the expansive chaos field of Grazadax - a debris-strewn domain dotted with thousands of forges. He crafted this weapon with the intent of ensnaring his wife, Amphitrite.

My beloved has lost her senses, even compelling the esteemed Triton to the side of the adversary. The other Primordial Lords grow weary of her defiance, and have instructed me to address the pair or they shall do so themselves.

Poseidon, excerpt from his journal - "Changing Tides"

Poseidon believed that once Amphitrite was cured of her "insanity," Triton would return to his father and mother's side. The trident Buldadel was created as a Cairn Scythe with its soul gathering point linked to Chaos. Poseidon reasoned that the weapon's lethal strike against his wife would kill her physical form while preserving and capturing her soul energy, preventing it from being drawn back to Chaos where it would dissolve into entropic energy. Regrettably, the weapon was wielded with malicious intent by one of Poseidon's Merfolk champions, resulting in the weapon's destruction and the annihilation of Amphitrite's soul.

The shattering of Buldadel gave rise to numerous coral shards, which became known as the Tears of Poseidon. These shards are secured within a vault at the heart of the city of Amphitrite. The Tears of Poseidon are responsible for the frequent occurrence of powerful unnatural storms that plague Veysed Vaal bay and the surrounding isles of Stahdim Goz. During the Demon Spawn War, Amphitrite was briefly occupied by aquatic demons. Despite the use of potent magic to conceal their actions, the demons managed to abscond with a handful of the shards. One of these Tears of Poseidon was subsequently corrupted by abyssal energy and incorporated into the creation of the demonic artifact known as Buldumech.
