This war was waged with the goal of severing the communication and trade link between Fargimdal and Rumaktharga. Much of the conflict occurred in the Iruk valley. The Rúmil, aided by Angrod mercenaries, succeeded in cutting the surface supply routes. Deep beneath, the dwarves excavated passages, extending the Brother Tunnels. Once completed, this created a subterranean supply line between Rumaktharga and Dabul-Gind.
When steam power was discovered, the Brother Tunnels formed the foundation for a section of the renowned Kibar-Kûn rail network. This development facilitated a secure and expeditious trade and communication corridor between the brethren of Taurelin and their counterparts in the ancestral homelands of Narbuzad.
Nulâg-Mand, a passage from the volume Building Kibar-Kûn - " Kizan Line "
The dwarves emerged victorious in this conflict, having fought a defensive war that proved too costly for Rúmil. The elves retreated from the valley. Angrod, another elven participant in the conflict, asserts that the war was not lost, as the Iruk Tendril was not halted, and it is merely a matter of several centuries before it connects with the Tulandur Tendril, effectively encircling Kizan and rendering it isolated and vulnerable.
