The Resalth Campaigns were a series of wars undertaken by the dragon emperor Resalth and his esteemed general Balfroglemis. Resalth employed artful diplomacy, transforming certain tribes and populations into loyal subjects of the Dominion of Resalth without the need for bloodshed. Those who dared resist, however, were confronted with the formidable military acumen of Balfroglemis.
The Vex Viing, a group that Resalth was able to sway, had long been ostracized for their savagery and malevolence. Eager to settle ancient grievances with the populace of Lumnaar Hok, they assisted in the plunder of the city in 899 HE.
After the collapse of Lumnaar Hok, the Dominion of Resalth redirected its operations northward into Boulder Toss Pass. Within this valley, the Dominion constructed a road, contending with the stone giants of Oratu Iru along the way.
After the capture of Oratu Iru, the fire giants of Vith Ruus, long-standing adversaries of the stone giants, welcomed the victors. Dozens of fire giants joined the growing armies of Balfroglemis. Following the establishment of treaties with various factions in Vith Ruus, Balfroglemis led his army southward. His forces were bolstered by the inclusion of hill giants and bugbears seeking to settle old grievances with the Khage. In one of the battles of Feykro Silon, shortly after Balfroglemis opened a rift to the Web of Magic, he was eliminated by a pack of weave spiders. With the loss of their preeminent commander, Resalth assumed control of the army, sacking the Khage's formidable bastion of Thadir in 933 HE.
