In the year 1333, a war erupted in the rugged ravine of Raefknar. The strife swiftly escalated, spilling over from the cliffs and caverns into the surrounding region of Drarthiel.
The Raefknar War commenced as a conflict between the city-state of Slave Pen and the imperial power of Irdtrax. When the formidable demon warlord Dvr'jiss Jagg moved into Raefknar, he allied himself with this ongoing struggle, assaulting the city of Yastorogg from its less fortified western and southern approaches.
In 1337, the Army of Dvr'jiss Jagg captured Yastorogg. The following year, in 1338, all parties to the conflict signed the Peace of Raefknar treaty. As a result, Irdtrax relinquished its claim to Yastorogg, and territorial boundaries were established, with Dvr'jiss taking the western half of Raefknar and Slave Pen acquiring the eastern portion.
