The Rerkvorg Pacification Campaign was an effort funded by the Council of Bile to extend their territories into Rerkvorg and construct settlements, outposts, and castles. This campaign was military in nature, as the local inhabitants generally opposed any additional competition, especially from an empire seeking to expand into the valley's wilderness. The Council of Bile hired mercenaries and numerous knightly orders to overcome the resistance in the valley. The rebels consisted of stone giants, hill giants, goblins, Kenku, and the Tunesti tribes of Urkthal.

The campaign was protracted, spanning nearly a century. There were extended periods of inactivity in the conflict, with only sporadic raids and retribution, but after a time, a resurgence would occur, or a northern advance to seize more territory. There were also moments when both sides pursued peace, and eras when the most unlikely alliances were forged. Likewise, there were several junctures when Guthnimor and Paradomea covertly funded the forces opposed to the Council of Bile, seeking to impede the Council's territorial expansion for political and commercial motives.

One of the preeminent knightly orders that combated in this region was the Apocalypse Corps. They frequently spearheaded the significant military operations, courageously leading these advances from the vanguard. They interred their fallen comrades, and others were to follow, at a site near the heart of the valley. This cemetery is known as Rerkvorg Tribute. It is peppered with grand monuments honoring the heroes who perished in the Rerkvorg Pacification Campaign.

When the conflict concluded, Rerkvorg was firmly under the control of the Council of Bile. Over the subsequent century, the region was divided into feudal domains. It was a tumultuous era marked by numerous minor confrontations between the knightly orders. As the area stabilized, civilians were invited to settle and claim the land. In 1501, the inaugural major non-militarized settlement, Port Bile, was established.
