In 430 HE, illithid agents of the Suellk Empire commenced probing the world Osâchar. This manifested as small-scale raids for slaves and sustenance, as well as the financing of rebel activities. The primary targets were the economies of Horgon and Thigûr. This disruptive campaign persisted for 33 years.
In 464 HE, the major invasion commenced. The Suellk appeared in the skies in their void-faring vessels, bombarding settlements and deploying vast numbers of ground forces. They were assisted on the ground by rebel forces of diverse races, all having endured domination and treated as inferior races to the long-ruling Durkoth. Those facing the invasion found themselves at a significant disadvantage. They lacked an air defense to match the enemy's sky armada, their voidship navy Revered Minds. Horgon's leaders, the Saints of Maen, had the Helas Vessels. According to their understanding, these were troop carriers with a destination set to an unknown world. Constructed for the Creation War, these Helas Vessels were rudimentary in their navigation, used for extended journeys across the Void and incapable of atmospheric maneuvers.
In 537 HE, Horgon's leaders guided the fortunate few into the Void. The Helas Vessels were pursued by the Revered Minds. Fleeing their adversaries, the primordial arks ventured into the Deep Mist. The illithid armada has not been heard from since. Nearly three centuries later, the Helas Vessels that escaped Osâchar commenced their descent through the clouds of their new home world Bal-Kriav.
