In the sixth century of the First Epoch, three exceptionally charismatic sisters of the Burterinii bloodline reigned over three distinct empires. Blessed with extraordinary beauty, it was said they had been touched by the divine. This alluring appearance, coupled with their keen intellect and cunning, made them formidable rulers, yet each possessed traits that would ultimately prove problematic. Known as the Three Queens, only one directly governed a kingdom. Queen Bleeberghast, the mercurial and disorderly ruler of the Burterinii Empire, presided over a reign marred by rampant corruption, lawlessness, and aggression towards her neighbors.
Sanglamore, the eldest and most discerning sister, was a high priest devoted to Athena. Regarded as a favored follower of Athena, she was perceived as the true authority within the Niratar Theocracy. Adhering to Athena's principles, she was the most lawful of the sisters, the "Good Queen" who embodied freedom and righteousness. She labored tirelessly to redeem her sister Sarquiness from the depths of darkness, and the other, Bleeberghast, from the clutches of entropy.
"Queen Sarquiness" headed the Cal-Thaoun Dynasty. She was the youngest and most vain of the trio. She governed with an iron fist, enforcing stringent laws where power was wielded through strength and intellect. Sarquiness controlled territories along the coastlines, coveting the fertile valleys of her sister Sanglamore. Prodded by her younger brother Lokuto, Sarquiness initiated a war against Sanglamore. To preserve the balance of power among the three empires, Queen Bleeberghast (a nickname, her true name was Blesbanna) intervened, offering assistance whenever the status quo was threatened by one's victory.
Legend has it that each of the Queens foresaw their demise in the ongoing conflict. They were unaware of the timing or manner of their deaths, only that they would perish somewhere in Moredhel. Recognizing that their cause would end with their passing, the Queens decided to create mighty artifacts that would carry their fight beyond the reach of death. Each summoned the same head wizard of the Burterinii family, a neutral advisor and adherent of the Chronos faith, who served no particular side but was accessible to any of the Burterinii bloodline. This mage forged three blades of exceptional craftsmanship and imbued them with great powers. Upon the wielder's death, the weapon was enchanted to capture the soul of its user.
A year after their premonitions of certain death, premonitions believed to have been implanted in their minds by agents of Chronos, the Three Queens engaged in a momentous battle in the Moredhel Valley. Sadly, Sanglamore and Sarquiness were slain. Upon receiving the tragic news of her two sisters' demise, Queen Bleeberghast took her own life. After their passing, the souls of the Three Queens were absorbed into three formidable swords. The war came to an end, and thereafter, the peoples of the three empires established peace, allowing their lands to flourish. The legacy of the conflict lives on through the three swords - Bleeberghast, Sanglamore, and Sarquiness. Legend has it that the three queens never crossed blades during the war and that the three swords can never be brought within sensory range of each other or teleported away with certainty.
