Lorfin-Bator is a coastal metropolis situated along the southwestern perimeter of Thrawkrall. The city's eastern boundary is delineated by the river Glormorn.
The trading-colonial outpost of Lorfin-Bator was established in 971 as an Ivory Asylum outpost. The Elderaunts permitted a local Minotaur tribe to remain in the vicinity, disregarding their claim to the occupied land. The minotaurs suppressed their pride to access foreign goods, initiating a thriving trade between Lorfin-Bator and the merchants of Rîni, weathering blockades and numerous wars between Ba'lith and Ivory Asylum. The bards often immortalize the names of famed blockade runners, their captains, and crews in their tales. To foster goodwill, Ivory Asylum's colonial board allowed the minotaurs to name the city, leading to a dispute over the order of the names of the local chieftain's two sons, Lorfin and Bator, settled when Bator killed Lorfin. Ivory Asylum's trading post did not endure, becoming a symbol of their colonialism and agitating the minotaurs who did not benefit from the trade. As a result of this Ivory Imperialism, the minotaurs mobilized and in 985 drove Ivory Asylum from the shores of Azrik. Two years later, Ba'lith annexed Lorfin-Bator. Initially, they attempted to halt trade with Rîni, but ultimately turned a blind eye, recognizing the tax revenue from the long-standing rivalry across the channel, and the economic genius of the founders.
For decades, even before this here Lorfin-Bator, the Poseidon loving Ivory Asylum had an imperialist presence along the shores of Karterus. They began as simple merchants, selling wares along the shore, then setup network using the natives, you understand the rest. They extend their authority, commerce, and "nation-building" to Azrik through Lorfin-Bator.

Today, the city serves as a significant maritime hub for Ba'lith. It also functions as a prominent center of learning and culture, boasting the largest concentration of minotaur schools and military academies. West and south of the city flows the Glormorn River, which is utilized to transport commerce to Bâlê and other inland settlements.
