The Geb Vanguard was established by the primordial lord Geb. They functioned as his elite personal guard. With the Angelic Departure ( 270 GE - 274 GE ) , they and numerous other mortal units were left to roam in search of a new lord to serve.
In the Titan Era, the Geb Vanguard journeyed extensively, pursuing honor, remuneration, and adventure. Their ranks fluctuated greatly at times, encompassing a few dozen to several hundred individuals of diverse lineages. They would subsequently serve as mercenaries for all of Brucrumus's Titan Empires.
In the Battle of Galstyxe, this contingent of stone giants was under the leadership of the Orchish general Rassald.
In 1301, they took service with the Fograth.
In the Grashakh Front, the emperor Blac'drugulois was killed. The group's leader, harboring doubts about their loyalty to Monty the Mad and suspecting treachery, resolved to sever ties with the empire they had served for over four centuries. They ventured northward into Cinazan, a region engulfed in the Cinazan Front. Under the command of General Olugra, this military unit comprised entirely of stone giants, aligned themselves with the Flux Pact.
The commanders quickly demonstrated their exceptional abilities, leading the formidable armies of Neeth-Theen. Their skill and pride stemmed from their unit's storied legacy, tracing back to the renowned Demon Spawn War, where they served under the primordial lord Geb. Most recently, they distinguished themselves as one of the elite units under the command of Emperor Blac'drugulois, serving for three centuries in the Orchish Empire.
Rax approaches a tent flanked by a pair of imposing granite humanoids. One is slightly taller than the other, but both stand over 15 feet in height. Each of these formidable soldiers is heavily adorned with battle ribbons carved into their stony forms. They greet him with a salute, raising their weapons vertically and extending their arms. "Curious salute; in certain cultures, that gesture would be interpreted as 'you shall not pass.' I must inquire about the significance of their numerous battle accolades."
Grarg mentally conveys, "That is unnecessary. They belong to the Geb Vanguard, a contingent that has existed since the Demon Spawn War. In that conflict, they served as the personal protectors of the primordial lord Geb. Following the war's conclusion, they have roamed, offering their services to whomever requires them. The last information I possess, which dates back over two centuries, indicates they were serving under Emperor Blac'drugulois of the Orchish Empire."
