The Urkuzîr family is a Minâth house that ascended to power during the reign of King Phenul-Tamrâk. Lady Salêth Urkuzîr became the Queen alongside the King. Upon his demise, she governed for an additional 14 years under the Kingdom of Urkuzîr (cf. Leaders).

The Urkuzîr family's affluence and influence stem from their substantial wealth. During the First Epoch, they commanded the extensive mines situated within the Imrabêl valley. They are one of the prominent noble houses of Minâth-Nôrî. Alongside the fleeing multitudes, the Urkuzîrs departed Gulimbor during the Great Exodus (998 - 1017).

In the year 1719, the family transacted the deed for the properties of Laughing Hairfoot and Fermin to the Shinszelmoggits. They reportedly amassed a substantial fortune of 4,000,000 gold pieces from the transaction.

In the region of Cinazan, they continued their mining enterprises. The Urkuzîrs are steadfast supporters of the Church of Set. Consequently, they possess substantial influence within the Pharzîmrâth.

The family's wealth was significantly diminished during the Cinazan Front. Owing to the territorial losses of the Khazarkar Empire, the Urkuzîrs were deprived of all production from the Armânuk silver mines.

The Urkuzîr family has a significant presence in the city of Barun-Mitân, where they maintain a network of keeps and castles to safeguard their mining operations. Several of these fortified strongholds are situated along the frontier borders of the Khazarkar Empire, granting the family a strategic vantage point as the eyes and ears of the empire.
