Founded in 1336 by a Lorhazi sorcerer named Gúlúrn, the cult of Borurthane is a group of Midrêth devoted to spreading disease. Acting as agents of the god of pestilence and decay, the majority of the cult's members adhere to the teachings of Rioch Tetrax.
Borurthane derives its affluence from extensive subterranean farms, the manufacture of toxins and potions, as well as mercenary operations. During the Coeus Civil War (1694 - 1697), hired by the usurper Rax, they unleashed a virulent plague upon the city of Bithiemeth.
