The Portal Sentinels, founded by the League of Magicks, have the mission of locating Rifts, feywild fuses, and rips in the Web of Magic. In their early days, the group spent more time trying to comprehend and exploit these conduits. In the Year 1200, a disastrous experiment delving into the Web of Magic resulted in the League of Magicks and the surrounding town being swallowed by the expanding Othrangad canyon, leading to the loss of the town's population and most of the guild's members. Following this tragedy, fewer than two dozen remaining Portal Sentinels took their charge more seriously.
The Portal Sentinels played a crucial role in the Ivory Dao War by assisting in the closure of the Gypsum Rift.
