In 1796, Beldirothe assumed the role of Nature Protectorate for Ma'Ohari. A year later, the Burterinii-Buccaneer Alliance gained access to the Bangasûza fjord, an unprecedented event. This was due to the growing xenophobia of Bangasûza's Scrag population, who harbored resentment after being driven from Yaram and confined by Bloodtusk's formidable coastal fortresses. Furthermore, under King Jairall, the Scrag were hunted for sport and subjected to perilous games involving swimming through their own infested waters. Following the Burterinii-Bloodtusk War (1795 - 1800), it was discovered that Beldirothe had orchestrated a campaign to sway the Scrag's opinion.
