The Hoof of Gluttony is a formidable +5 oversized great club. The entirety of this weapon is crafted from fire-scorched bone, having once been the right rear limb of an excessively corpulent and ill-fated Jara, the Corpulent One.
The centaur abomination known as the Fat One had an insatiable appetite, routinely feasting on the dead, including his own fallen kin. During the Siege of Amanwen, the elves observed that he outweighed the largest jara by three times, his bulky frame lumbering at a glacial pace compared to the swift movements of his brethren. When the jara retreated from the smoldering ruins, the Fat One remained behind, gorging himself on the corpses for an entire week. An Angrod war party eventually arrived and discovered the grotesque creature, unleashing a volley of more than four hundred arrows before the Fat One drew its final breath.
Decades later, the fire-ravaged limb of the Rotund Individual was discovered. Extracted from the ruins by a group of goblins, it was transported to the heights of Thranerch and subjected to examination. Five years thereafter, a goblin shaman known as Yagruk carried the Rotund Individual's leg to the Jofgried Titan Forge, where it was forged into a weapon of immense potency.
The Hoof of Gluttony, sold for a substantial sum in jewels, a harem, and one succubus, ultimately fell into the possession of an Ogre Lord known as Agdúm. In the third month of the year 1303, Agdúm commenced a transformation, shifting his focus from his gluttonous tendencies to a greater concern for his responsibilities as the leader of the Thousand Clubs. Regrettably, Agdúm's performance in battle became increasingly sluggish, and he was even observed consuming his own subordinates when ample provisions were available. Frustrated by their leader's deteriorating conduct, Agdúm's lieutenants ultimately took decisive action, with one striking him and the others soon following suit.
In 1531, an Ogre Lord known as Morbakh embarked on a quest to locate the Hoof of Gluttony. Within the perilous confines of the Barrow of Agdúm, Morbakh and his experienced band of adventurers encountered a devastating onslaught of traps, undead, and monstrous guardians that decimated their numbers.
Wrenched from the bony grasp of Agdúm, the femur of the Corpulent One, the Hoof of Gluttony was the final object he stole as a mortal. Pursued, haunted, and weary, Morbakh succumbed to the ghost harem of Agdúm. Subjected to malevolent energies and sinister curses, Morbakh transformed into a famine spirit reinforced by Rioch Tetrax, a Taln'nazân Famine Spirit-King.
