In 9120 GE, a Grimlock named Karsec found himself unexpectedly thrust into a Toadoolp Twist. With one hand and leg transformed into that of a Kuo-toa, he miraculously escaped the entropic pond and the vigilant kuo-toan patrols of Blibdoolpoolp Bosom. Upon returning to his people, he was stigmatized, even accused of being a lackey of Blibdoolpoolp. In his journals, Karsec recounted how the experience in the entropic pond had altered him beyond just the physical changes. He claimed to have witnessed profound revelations at the precipice of his transformation, answers to age-old questions about the origins of all things. Driven by this newfound knowledge, Karsec went on to travel extensively, both on the surface and beneath, learning extensively about various energy types, Rifts, entropic ponds, and other wonders tied to the field of energy. His work, and the team of mixed races that came to collaborate with him, would eventually be known as the Quadrax.

Near the end of his natural life, hunted by those with an interest in his ability to withstand the Toadoolp Twist, he found himself on a lab table of the Soothsayers of Blipool in the city of Blipool. Masters of working psychic energy, they were able to utilize Karsec's knowledge in the field of enchanting. Working alongside the top arcanist of Oomkaan, they created the Quadrax of Prime Elements. The goal was to devise an item that would transform the Toadoolp Twists back into entropic ponds. The item was put to the test, yielding disastrous results. The user, a kuo-toa champion of Moolowik and veteran soldier of the Âkhi Empire, turned pyromaniac, burning half of Blipool down before being killed. Eyewitnesses of the Blipool conflagration reported seeing either a ghostly grimlock wandering the ruins with a smile, or the ghostly form of a monster of Chaos, its fiery tendrils whipping about and setting the town ablaze.

The Quadrax of Prime Elements is a flange elemental energy mace. Each flange is composed of coalesced energy representing one of the primary elemental forces - fire, water, air, and earth. One flange takes the form of a cresting wave, another a ribbon of flame, a third a miniature whirlwind, and the fourth of compacted soil and rock.

Pyromaniac each use of Meteor Swarm has a 10% chance of making the user a pyromaniac. This no resist affect makes the wielder set the nearest civilian area aflame, using Fireball and any other fiery effects at their disposal. An insanity it can be cured by magic. continuous
