Raxcvillibus Dumu-loc, the architect of this treaty, had been trained in negotiation and political strategy by a master of such arts. Asmodeus, the mastermind behind Rax's decades of training, conceived the treaty. He knew that the warmongering minotaurs of Ba'lith would perceive it as a sign of weakness. The leaders of the Torgilm Confederacy would welcome peace, but on the condition that they cede some of their secret weapons to Ba'lith. Nevertheless, Asmodeus and his mortal champion were confident they could bring the two parties to the negotiating table. They had more than just a document; Raxcvillibus had secretly worked both sides. As a renowned veteran of Ba'lith, persuading the military was effortless. The groundwork for this treaty had been laid over the course of decades. As immortals, Asmodeus and Rax had all the time they needed to meticulously plan. Over three decades, their agents had been strategically placed in positions of importance within both governments.
On 15 War March 1672, the minotaurs of Azrik's southern regions, those of the Ba'lith Empire and those from the northern territories, forged the Treaty of Droorlow. This document precisely delineated the boundaries of the respective empires. In exchange for Ba'lith relinquishing lands gained through conquest, the Torgilm Confederacy assisted their former rivals in the construction of the remarkable Sonic Horns.
The majority were aware that this course of action was merely a temporary solution. Some harbored the hope that these disruptive sound towers would help to stabilize the southern region of Azrik, enabling Ba'lith to reclaim territories lost to the Hive Swarms. Perhaps, they speculated, the Hive Swarms would shift their attention southward rather than once more turning their sights northward.
Ba'lith claimed all land south of Lake Droorlow and the formidable fortress of Marmarath as part of the treaty's land agreement. Apart from this stronghold, Ba'lith relinquished everything they had coercively annexed from their pacifistic neighbors over the preceding century.
