Cartáricil is a temperate rain forest situated in the southern spur of the Aerie. During the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), the sturdy timber of Cartáricil underwent transformations to support a nearby naval base. Covenant druids bolstered the woodland's growth, aided by arcane energy, magical elixirs, and even the introduction of trees from distant realms. The timber was used to construct the formidable Covenant stronghold of Pardhaer and a new Covenant navy to safeguard the extensive coastlines of sector Iizus Yeldah. By the war's conclusion, the Forest of Cartáricil had become a blend of native and foreign woods, renowned for their exceptional suitability in shipbuilding and high resistance to sonic energy, pressure, and saline conditions.
After the war, the woodland became the domain of the fey who had served under the Covenant. The most prevalent of these inhabitants today are the Wood Woad, Sprite, and Treant races.
