The Famirótan River originates in the Pirron Mountains. It flows northward from these horseshoe-shaped peaks through the elven city of Lúinwë and then eastward across the Guivre Swamp. Within this wetland, the Famirótan is joined first by the Cenyemo River and then by the Irudrarg. The now greatly widened river empties into the Core Sea.
