The Fangs of Steirgar, named after a crimson dragon that had once served as a battle mount for Surtur, are soot-stained summits stretching from the edge of the Core Sea to the glacial rivulets of Aettein.
In the midst of the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), following the peaceful passing of the legendary Steirgar, a power vacuum emerged. Fire giants seized control of the Fangs of Steirgar, monitoring the demons of Baphomet as they suffered in the Borngring Wastes. After the demons were driven out, and through the Lith-Crillion Era, the Fangs of Steirgar became the domain of rival fire giant clans, leading to growing conflict with the frost giants of Ice Cap.
During the Horgon Era and in the initial stages of the First Epoch, the Fangs of Steirgar were governed by the Titan monarchy of Hofthorm (145 HE - 101).
